Lunaris Shadow of Amonet

Amonet (pronounced "amonette" not "amonay"!) is a black smoke Maine Coon, born in June 2006. This picture shows her at seven months old.

I've wanted a black smoke Maine Coon for ages. I decided to call her Shadow of Amonet after the Egyptian goddess Amonet, who is described as "the hidden one, whose shadow protects".

Amonet was, alas, not meant to have kittens, so she has just been neutered. She didn't enjoy shows, so is now living a happy life as a pet!

Amonet loves food and cuddles - we're not sure which she loves most, as she's very exuberant about her enthusiasm for both! Her shameless thievery of all kids of meat and cheese has led us to variously call her...lamb-onet, ham-onet, salmon-et, edam-onet and gammon-et (suggestions for chicken and beef-related names are always welcome :-) ) Here is a picture of how she earns such names...!
